Before we start, find some alone time.
And remember these are things that help the author.
You can let them inspire you, (if you so wish)

- Prayer
- Mindful meditation
- Japanese lounge and jazz
- Heavy, experimental metal or techno
- Reading Calvin and Hobbes
Why I think they work:
- Praying Puts God the creator and redeemer, and his Holy Spirit first (where better to turn first?)
- Meditation helps to deny my Self and dissipate and merge with the oneness of life. What is, shall be, and was, and what is universal, the One.
- Lounge and jazz chill me out, and I find the Japanese variety resonates with me best, and the musicians I like know how to keep it interesting.
- Energetically masculine music keeps me in touch with the craft of men. Men globally and historically are chiefly and by and large the soldiers, craftsmen, builders of civilization, and particularly the force of male-made music wakes me up to who I am, that it is alright, normal and natural for me as a human to feel a bit of rage, and by thinking this thought, it provides bedrock and fuel to the means to channel this energy and let it inspire me.
- Calvin and Hobbes remind me of the preciousness in the little moments, helps me to remember the delicate wonderfulness of the human race, and in doing so, gives, and restores some hope in times I feel we are overly destructive, ignorant or wasteful.
