For the time being, it’s a firm no. That was the point of today, right? With an agreement between me and the AI: Microsoft Copilot, the past week, we agreed on a task: learn how to do the campaign.
Because I more-or-less made this public, I have a loose end to tie.
I still have very little idea what to do.
The end turn button is still my guide at my worst, and a crutch when I really do not know what to do.
The learning curve is far too steep.
I have no idea about the personalities, or what the agendas are
with the different tribes and species.
Except this: conquer.
I did not expect this: Tons of nuance and nuisance, getting in the way
And this is game-logic
Basic rule here, was, learn it in a week.
But the grind became unbearable.
There’s no way I’m reviewing this thing.
Grocery driver with a pocket knife: that’s how I feel. The task? Do the plumbing.
Sounds ridiculous but there it is out in the open: what I can, and cannot learn.
Best case scenario I learn: what then? I begin to greatly enjoy the game.
What then? I get a hundred, or many-hundred hours pulled into its merciless black-hole of fun.
Because its not just this game. I’ve done pretty decent with some other titles, like 40K: Battlesector. In theory I should be having no qualms about the decency of the title, the reassurance from seasoned players who know its good for lots of reasons.
This report is brief, off-the-chest announcement, just, all the questions, my abilities, zones –
they all point to one thing: the incompatibility with my mind, and what this game offers.
